Mission
Our mission is to broaden access to bicycling and its benefits.
Our vision is to help build a vibrant community where people of all backgrounds use bicycles to stay healthy and connected. We believe all Portlanders, regardless of income or background, should have the opportunity to experience the joy, freedom, and health benefits of bicycling.
Bottom Line
Since 1994 we have provided more than 14,977 bicycles and quality education to children and adults who wouldn't otherwise have access to one. As a community we’ve weathered many changes over the course of 32+ years and yet we continue to face a growing cost of living, a strained transportation system, and daily lives that are ever more isolated and online. In the midst of these stressful factors, the benefits of bicycling are even more worth pursuing – we’re here to help ensure every Portlander has access to the equipment, education, and resources needed to do so.

When a longtime denim designer ditched his car in 2015 and found his favorite jeans too stiff for biking everywhere, he founded DU/ER, a sustainable performance apparel brand. Today DU/ER makes stretchy, comfortable jeans, pants, and tops that look sharp and move with you, on the bike or off.
ReRack is a Portland-based shop that connects you to adventure by outfitting you with either a new or used rack. Whether you’re heading to the coast with a surfboard or up the mountain with your skis, ReRack helps you load up, cut waste, and get out exploring, and if you only need extra space for one trip, you can rent a cargo box instead.
Thomas, Coon, Newton & Frost represent people in litigation against insurance companies, corporations, and the government. They have been loyal sponsors of the Community Cycling Center for over 17 years who are passionate about breaking down barriers to cycling, and can be found riding their own bikes around Portland.
Nonprofit Partners
Blanchet House provides food, clothing, hygiene items, community, and transitional recovery programs to thousands of people every year. They offer essential aid with dignity and have served the community for more than 70 years. Over the years, Blanchet House and the Community Cycling Center have joined forces by offering pop-up free bike repairs at Blanche House’s Founder’s Café.
