The Community Cycling Center

Mission
Our mission is to broaden access to bicycling and its benefits.
Our vision is to help build a vibrant community where people of all backgrounds use bicycles to stay healthy and connected. We believe all Portlanders, regardless of income or background, should have the opportunity to experience the joy, freedom, and health benefits of bicycling.
Bottom Line for Portland
Since 1994 we've provided more than 14,000 bicycles to children and adults who wouldn't otherwise have access to one. Many things have changed over the course of 30 years but as the cost of living continues to increase, our transportation systems continue to be strained, and our daily lives are increasingly isolated and online, bikes are important now more than ever. We're here to help ensure every Portlander, who wants to ride, has access to the equipment, education, and resources needed.
Quote
“The bike is a vehicle of transportation, but we are also trying to bond communities, regardless of your background of where you come from or your financial situation, that is what the Community Cycling Center is about.” -Natty Pillias, Community Cycling Center Safe Routes to School Coordinator
