To create space for collaboration and the joyful celebration of community using circus and ensemble theater traditions to empower people of all abilities discover their potential and create fearlessly.
Bottom Line for Portland
Echo's Outreach Program brings free circus and physical theater programs to underserved communities throughout the greater Portland area. Through sharing circus skills such as juggling, stilt-walking, acrobatics, physical theater and trapeze, Echo empowers students to take supported risks, build trust and develop essential life skills such as collaboration, consent, and perseverance. These funds enable Echo to offer free programming while training and supporting our teaching artists and aides.

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
Echo Theater has a 30 year tradition of inclusive and adaptable classes, supporting students of all ages, abilities, backgrounds, and ways of being as they learn new skills in community with diverse peers. With classes and camps on both sides of the river, Echo’s teaching philosophy emphasizes support and inclusion as well as bridging generational, cultural and economic differences while celebrating the collective potential of all.
