Family SkillBuilders strengthens families through customized relationally-based parenting support.  We empower parents to enhance their skills by using culturally responsive, trauma-informed, and resilience-building interventions.

Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) lead to poorer outcomes later in life. Children with higher ACE scores are more likely to suffer from disease, have poor academic achievement, and struggle with substance use. With a higher ACE score, and without supportive adults (like a parent, teacher, or Family SkillBuilder) these children will suffer from toxic stress. 

Family SkillBuilders prevents abuse and neglect and decreases ACE scores for children by empowering parents with the skills they need to keep their children safe and healthy- preventing ACEs before they happen.
