Farmers Ending Hunger

Mission

Help to alleviate hunger in Oregon by increasing the amount of high quality food available to local communities through a partnership of farmers, ranchers, food processors, Oregon Food Bank and the public.

Bottom Line for Portland

Farmers Ending Hunger provides consistent and direct access to locally grown, healthy food and helps transport it to the Oregon Food Bank for distribution to hundreds of food pantries and commercial kitchens in the Portland region. This partnership helps fill a void of fresh food delivered to community partners throughout Portland.

Quote

"Blanchet House relies heavily on the ground beef donations from Farmers Ending Hunger. We use the ground beef they donate for Blanchet House's weekly spaghetti night. Blanchet House is able to feed more than 500 people thanks to the beef they donate," says Shannon Chasteen, Blanchet House Kitchen Manager and Chef.

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

As a resource food partner for the Oregon Food Bank, our fresh, locally grown food is distributed through the OFB partner network. Together, we put people experiencing hunger and food insecurity at the center of our actions and decisions. We envision a community where each person has access to high quality food that, when possible, is in keeping with their culture.
