Good Neighbor Center

Good Neighbor Center (GNC) provides a safe environment and needed resources while assisting families experiencing housing insecurity in finding permanent housing and stability.

Bottom Line for Portland

Good Neighbor Center has been helping families experiencing homelessness in our community for nearly 25 years. At Good Neighbor Center, we pride ourselves in providing support for whole families: parents, grandparents, guardians, and of course, their children. We provide nine private rooms for families, meals and snacks, childcare, and support to navigate the housing world to find the right long-term home for each family.

The cost to serve families experiencing homelessness, 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, 365 days per year has significantly increased over the past two years. While Good Neighbor Center receives limited government funding, it is not enough to cover our increased costs.

We need your help NOW to make sure this vital community resource remains open and available for families in crisis. Help us with a gift today and make a positive difference in the lives of families and children experiencing homelessness.

The collective sum of the individual differences, life experiences, knowledge, inventiveness, innovation, self-expression, unique capabilities and talent that our employees invest in their work represents a significant part of not only our culture, but our reputation and achievements as well. We embrace and encourage our employees' differences in age, color, disability, ethnicity, family or marital status, gender identity or expression, language, national origin, physical and mental ability, political affiliation, race, religion, sexual orientation, socio-economic status, veteran status, and other characteristics that make our employees unique.
