Mission

Good Neighbor Center empowers families experiencing housing insecurity by providing shelter, resources, and support for lasting stability.

Oregon has the highest rate of child homelessness in the nation. Each year, Good Neighbor Center helps hundreds of local parents and children move from crisis to stability. We provide emergency shelter and supportive housing services for families experiencing housing instability.

Our programs offer a safe, supportive environment where families stay together while working toward stability. In addition to shelter, we help families set goals, access community resources, and secure stable housing. GNC focuses on empowering families to rebuild their lives with dignity and hope.

At Samsara Yoga, self-care and community-care go hand in hand. We’re proud to support the GNC by collecting essential items at the studio and delivering them weekly. It’s one small way our community can help care for local families in need.

North by Northeast Community Health Center is the only medical clinic in Oregon devoted to African American/Black health. We exist to improve health outcomes and advance health equity by offering primary care services and health education and promotion focused on the African American/Black community.
