IMIrJ (Interfaith Movement for Immigrant Justice)

BIPOC-Led Organization

Mission

The Interfaith Movement for Immigrant Justice (IMIrJ) accompanies and equips communities and people of faith and fierce love to advance immigrant justice through direct accompaniment of immigrants facing detention and deportation, policy advocacy at local, state, and national levels, and action. The organization focuses on organizing faith communities, and people of faith and deep love to actively respond to injustices in our immigration system.

Bottom Line for Portland

Donating to IMIrJ will help support our accompaniment and organizing work in the Portland Metro area. You will support our community organizing cohort that build connections between Portland immigrant leaders and people around the state. In addition, our accompaniment program ensures immigrant community members have someone accompanying them as they navigate the immigration system.
