Rose City Rollers

Mission

Rose City Rollers mission is to serve women, girls, and gender-expansive individuals who want to play the team sport of roller derby, connect with an inclusive community, and realize their power both on skates and off.

Bottom Line for Portland

By donating to Rose City Rollers, you’re supporting the growth of trans-inclusive women's sports AND the expansion of radically inclusive, body-positive athletic opportunities to more women, girls, and gender-expansive folks ages 7-65+.

Your donations support our efforts to create equitable access to roller derby by lowering the barrier to entry through scholarships that prioritize BIPOC & trans skaters, a completely free gear lending library stocked with high quality protective gear + skates, free afterschool youth programs with our mobile skate truck, and so much more 🤝

Over 65% of our membership identifies as 2SLGBTQIA+. We are a home for new and experienced athletes with marginalized identities looking for an affirming community, supportive peers, loyal fans, and a place to truly discover their power.

Quote

“To be able to see other queer people [skating] and go ‘oh, I can be a successful and happy and awesome adult, and I can thrive in this space because other people have thrived in this space' has been everything." - an adult skater on growing up in RCR's junior program
