The Pongo Fund
Mission
Providing the highest quality food and veterinary care for tens of thousands of hungry, hurting and homeless animals belonging to our community’s most vulnerable citizens, keeping them safe, healthy and out of the shelters. More than 34 million meals provided, and more than 211,000 animals helped.
Bottom Line for Portland
The Pongo Fund provides award-winning and multi-critical services in animal welfare including the highest quality food and veterinary care for the family pets of our community’s most vulnerable, including seniors, veterans, the homeless, the unemployed, the low-income, the marginalized and more. We provide our services free of charge and since 2009 we have provided more than 34 million meals and helped more than 211,000 hungry, hurting and homeless animals, keeping each one of those animals safe, healthy and out of the shelters. Quite simply, The Pongo Fund gives a chance to animals that might not otherwise have a chance and gives hope to families who have little else to be hopeful for. More than 250 organizations rely on The Pongo Fund. Thanks to you, we are here for them when they need us most. Because sometimes, everyone can use a little extra help.

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
We drive diversity, equity and inclusion practices by being diverse, equal and inclusive in all components of our work. We hold ourselves to this standard and we do not and will not discriminate in any of our activities or operations. The Pongo Fund is a safe sanctuary for all, including for the oftentimes marginalized community, and everyone is welcomed and treated equally and respectfully. We also proudly maintain extensive services to all community members in every part of the community, both geographically and otherwise, including active support to and from the BIPOC community.
