Cat Adoption Team (CAT)

Cat Adoption Team’s mission is to save the lives of homeless cats and to work with our community to provide feline expertise and quality programs and services for people and cats.

Bottom Line for Portland

Your donation to CAT gives love, laughter, and companionship to the Portland metro area and beyond! Together, we provide adoption opportunities, foster care, and veterinary services to cats and kittens in need — and every cat is safe in our care until they find the right new home. The CAT Helpline, spay/neuter clinic, and related programs help people keep and care for their cats, even during difficult times. With the support of adopters, staff and volunteers, and donors like YOU, thousands of cats and people find friendship at CAT each year. Let’s keep the love going! 💕

"I have nothing but good things to say about Cat Adoption Team! All volunteers, workers, medical crew, and administrative people are top-notch. They care about the cats as if they were their own and create such a welcoming and informative environment. Support CAT today!" — Noelle Garcia, foster volunteer

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

Respect for people is a core value at Cat Adoption Team. We’re working to create a space where all people are welcome, respected, and valued. Our Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee is working through a broad range of initiatives to ensure we make impactful change, not only in policy and procedure, but within our organizational culture. We know that this will be an ongoing process and we’re dedicated to transparency along the way. To learn more about CAT’s commitment to address issues of diversity, equity, and inclusion, please read our full DEI Statement of Principle and our most recent initiatives update.

Double Dip Match for Young Donors: One of CAT’s donors is on a mission! At 83 years old, this self-proclaimed “old fart” says she still cares about animal welfare and making the world a better place. To inspire the next generation to join the cause, she is going to double every Give!Guide donation to CAT from anyone age 35 and under, up to a total of $5,000! That's right, turn your $10 into $20, $25 to $50... you get the idea.

Cat Lovers + Book Lovers: The first 15 donors to CAT will receive a $20 gift certificate to Annie Bloom's Books!
