Mission

Our mission is to improve the quality of life for people living with a mental health condition and their families through support, education, and advocacy. 

Bottom Line

The County’s budget crisis this year has gutted funding for our support groups, classes, and our programming in middle and high schools. We are not alone.  Peer-delivered mental health services were cut across the county, eliminating programs focused on prevention and recovery-oriented peer services.  We are working hard to keep these programs alive, and seeking your help, especially where the needs for mental health support are escalating and critical.

Currently at Risk:

• Peer Support Groups - 24 groups each month (including those LGBTQ+, Veterans, and those experiencing complex trauma);
• Family Support Groups - 9 groups each month for families of youth and adults with mental health challenges;
• Middle & High School Presentations - several each month supporting youth to recognize the signs of mental health concerns and get information on how to access support;
• NAMI on Campus - mental health and wellness clubs in local high schools;
• Recovery & Educational Courses for Peers & Families - offered six times per year

How You Can Help:

• $30 supports a mental health presentation at a local middle school
• $60 funds a peer or family support group meeting
• $100 supports a mental health fair at a local high school
• $400 supports an 8-week educational course for peers and families working to build communication and coping skills
• $$ - Donations of any amount will be used collectively to fund the programs listed above
