Oregon Zoo Foundation

Mission

Our mission is to foster community pride and involvement in the Oregon Zoo and to secure financial support for animal well-being, species recovery and conservation education.

Bottom Line

Right now, local wildlife is on the brink of extinction. Your gift gives Mazama newts a chance to thrive, brings endangered condors back to Oregon skies and helps restore native species and habitats. Give today and help preserve local wildlife and the wild places we all love.

Quote

“The Oregon Zoo has played a central role in protecting some of our most vulnerable species in the Pacific Northwest. We prevented the extinction of the Oregon silverspot butterfly. We tripled the range of the northwestern pond turtle in the state of Washington. We bred the condors that allowed the Yurok Tribe to bring them back to their ancestral homeland after more than a century. Right now, we're working to save the Mazama Newt and in the process, restoring the health of our only national park, Crater Lake. We know we can do this.” - Shervin Hess
