Mission

OK You addresses this country's youth mental health crisis by supporting youth and youth-supporters with free arts + wellness practices, workshops, and youth leadership opportunities that promote a more compassionate and empowered relationship with anxiety and other challenging emotions.

Bottom Line for Portland

1 in 3 young people struggle with anxiety or depression, yet 80% never receive help outside of home or school. With Portland counselors carrying an average caseload of 345 students, many—especially those in historically underserved communities—are left to struggle alone. OK You fills this critical gap by bringing creative mental health support directly to youth where they learn and grow.

Quote

OK You has been an invaluable partner to our counselors, social workers, and school psychologists. Their approach is student-centered, trauma-informed, and rooted in creativity.  OK You’s tools are used regularly across our more than 80 schools. By promoting activities that stimulate creativity and artistic exploration, OK You empowers students to build confidence, manage anxiety, and connect more deeply with themselves and others. Their programming fills a critical gap in mental health support while aligning beautifully with Oregon’s broader goals around equity, well-being, and arts integration in schools.” - Marquita Guzman M.ED., Assistant Director, Student Success and Health Portland Public Schools
