Mission

OK You addresses this country's youth mental health crisis by supporting youth and youth-supporters with free arts + wellness practices, workshops, and youth leadership opportunities that promote a more compassionate and empowered relationship with anxiety and other challenging emotions.

Bottom Line

1 in 3 young people struggle with anxiety or depression, yet 80% never receive help outside of home or school. With Portland counselors carrying an average caseload of 345 students, many—especially those in historically underserved communities—are left to struggle alone. OK You fills this critical gap by bringing creative mental health support directly to youth where they learn and grow.

10 Barrel Brewing will host OK You, Schoolhouse Supplies, Reading Results, The Shadow Project, Ecology in the Classroom & Outdoors and Portland Backpack to learn about nonprofit board and committee service opportunities. Join us on Wednesday, November 4th from 5-7pm to learn more about us and these nonprofit partners. A percentage of proceeds will be donated to all three nonprofits! 

Schoolhouse Supplies promotes educational equity in Portland area public schools by providing free school supplies to under-resourced students.

Reading Results partners with schools to support students from systemically excluded communities in becoming successful readers.

The Shadow Project's mission is to make school more accessible and engaging for children with disabilities, so they can achieve their full potential. 

Ecology in the Classroom & Outdoors inspires students to care for nature and their local communities through hands-on science education and climate action.

Portland Backpack's mission is to serve children who are at risk of hunger by providing food sacks for weekend days when food scarcity is higher.
